Made with pure silver, Madeira Metallic No. 3 gives you better color retention without tarnishing. This luxurious, fine metallic thread comes in the richness of sliver, four subtle shades of gold, and copper. Soft and pliable, it is great for couching, braids, cords, tassels, and more. You can also strand it for filigree work. Made of 40% polyamide and 60% metallic polyester.
To make metallic thread you must wrap a super thin strip of foil around a center thread and then bond them together. With the help of precision German engineering, Madeira has perfected this process and you can see the result in the uncommon sturdiness and flexibility of all Madeira Metallics.
All six colors come in Madeira’s unique Spiral Pak. With old-fashioned skeined floss, you start wasting floss from the moment you pull out your first strand.
